With so many food trucks ruling Sydney’s streets it’s difficult to keep up with the hype. So here are the best food trucks. Easy.
There’s nothing quite like dining alfresco courtesy of a cantina on wheels. It’s top quality food that comes to you – what’s not to love? Here’s a rundown of the best food trucks in Sydney and how to follow them so next time they’re in your ‘hood you’ll be there too.
The easiest way to follow all things food trucks is by hitting up @sydneyfoodtruck. This Twitter handle keeps you updated on all of Sydney’s registered mobile canteens and where they’re parked.
For the undecided and uninitiated, a good starting point is StreetFest’s Food Trucks United event. Held every first Friday of the month at Belmore Park, it’s a free event of food trucking, entertainment and good times. But of course, if you have a fave in mind already, you can follow them specifically. We know we do.
- Find it: Cantina’s permanently parked on Glebe Point Road, but can otherwise be found rockin’ it out at big arena shows and festivities like Bruce Springsteen’s Allphones Arena gig and Sydney Olympic Park’s Colour Run.
Giving Al Carbón a bit of competition is Cantina Movil, a haven for taco/burrito/nacho aficionados. Its non-alcoholic sangria is imported from the motherland and the best bit? You don’t have to wait until Cantina rolls into a street near you. It’s secured permanent digs at 99 Glebe Point Road. Because you really shouldn’t have to wait for your sangria fix.
